Textilveredlung & Promotion trade fair becomes more international

TV Textilveredlung & Promotion, Trade Fair for Textile Marketing, Printing, Embroidery, Transfer and Flocking, closed its doors in Stuttgart on Tuesday with satisfied exhibitors and visitors from all over Europe. Around 4,200 trade visitors (2002: 3,800) came to the 3-day trade fair (1 to 3 February 2004) at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre in Killesberg. TV Textilveredlung & Promotion has become the most important trade fair for textile manufacturers and retailers, embroiderers, textile printers, digital printers, flockers and providers of textile advertising and promotion services. The 2nd Digital Textile Fashion Award was also presented during the trade fair.

Exhibitors were very impressed both with the number and expertise of visitors. Textile producers and manufacturers of textile finishing machinery and materials again said that they were very satisfied with the concept of the TV trade fair. Rolf Hebecker, Managing Director of Hebbecker Textildrucksysteme, praised the trade fair: "The enthusiasm in making purchasing decisions has increased substantially and was clearly discernible at this trade fair." André Stemmermann from James Harvest Sportswear stated that the trade fair has now become well and truly established. "The industry is dynamic and still contains a great deal of potential. We met existing customers on our stand, but also large numbers of new customers and potential customers", said Stemmermann. "We did not expect so much success", said Maria Rath from the textile producer Deratex, which took part in the TV trade fair for the first time. Mario Mair from M&R Printing, Austria, was also overwhelmed. Mair: "The trade fair was fantastic. Visitors were really willing to make purchases." Helmuth Poensgen from Promodoro praised the opportunities that the TV trade fair provides for exhibitors. Rainer Knochel from embroidery thread manufacturer Madeira was pleased that visitors came to Stuttgart from several countries to gather information on the offers.

The visitor survey revealed that the catchment area of the trade fair has increased considerably: 37% of visitors travelled a distance of more than 300 kilometres. Visitors from a total of 22 countries came to Stuttgart, a fact which proves the increased international character of the trade fair. Over 50% of visitors came to the trade fair with firm investment and purchase intentions. The expertise of visitors was very high.91% are involved in purchasing and procurement decisions in their company. The TV trade fair also managed to attract new visitor target groups - 61% of visitors attended TV for the first time.

Within the framework of the trade fair, the prizes for the 2nd Digital Textile Design Award were presented. Six fashion and textile design colleges demonstrated their digital textile printing in a product presentation. The creative talent coming through in the industry presented excellent visions around a Smart City Coupé, which, according to digital printing experts within the automobile sector, will set new accents. The first prize went to Esmod in Munich, the second prize was awarded to the Westsächsische Hochschule Zwickau (West Saxon College of Zwickau). The next TV Textilveredlung & Promotion will take place in spring 2006.
