Accreditation guidelines for Landesmesse Stuttgart GmbH
Applies to all national and international editors and photographers from daily newspapers and specialist publications and also all electronic media, including the Internet.
Press accreditation for events organized by Landesmesse Stuttgart GmbH is given to:
1. Those in possession of a valid press ID card from
- German Journalists' Association (DJV)
- ver.di (German Trade Union - Industriegewerkschaft Medien, Deutsche Angestellten Gewerkschaft)
- Federal Association of German Newspaper Publishers (BDZV),
- Association of German Newspaper Publishers (VDZ),
- IFJ (International Federation of Journalists, Brussels),
- Association of Trade Journalists and Editors Specialized in Electronics (UIPRE), Federation of Journalists for Technical/Scientific Journalism (TELI), Association of German Motor Journalists (VDM), International Federation of Journalists and Travel Writers (FIJET), Association of German Agrarian Journalists (VDAJ), Federation of German Travel Journalists (VDRJ), Luftfahrt- Presse-Club e.V. (LPC).
- Those who have evidence showing membership of any organization of journalists providing the individual is in attendance to report on events of the Stuttgart Trade Fair - this also includes the DFJV (German Association of Specialized Journalists) and the Jugendpresse Deutschland e.V.
2. Journalists and photographers
- who can legitimize themselves by a written assignment from an editor (original letter, not a copy, showing address and telephone number) or documentary evidence with current date (dated no later than two editions previous) and name tag.
- who have an imprint in which they are included.
- whose journalistic activities are based on royalty based contracts/assignments. For authors wishing to gain access on a professional basis, evidence of the current title of the book and reference to the respective trade fair must be provided.
3. Persons, who can identify themselves as belonging to a department from the authorities or an institution with the task of reporting and also representatives of companies (including exhibitors) tasked with addressing the press.
4. Persons, who require press information for charitable purposes providing they can show evidence in written form from the respective institution.
5. Representatives from youth press organizations or school publications will be given a one-off day pass or guest admission on presentation of documentary evidence. The same applies for interns and trainees who are visiting the exhibition in the company of an editor.
6. Members of specialist publication organizations who are recognized within the scope of Stuttgarter Messe- und Kongress GmbH exhibition events.
7. Members of Internet editorial staff who belong to proper editing teams or publishers or who are established within their online publications in the relevant exhibition community as providing sources of information.
Not acceptable as forms of accreditation are:
- Business cards
- Invitations from exhibitors to press or other appointments
- In-house ID cards of broadcasters, editorial teams or companies.
Further to the conditions for accreditation, the Landesmesse Stuttgart GmbH can forbid entrance or ask persons to leave at any time!
